James McGreevey

James McGreevey is an American politician who was the 52nd governor of the New Jersey from 2002 to 2004. Born on August 6, 1957, in Jersey City, New Jersey, McGreevey got involved in politics, serving as the mayor of Woodbridge Township from 1991 to 2002. During his tenure as governor, he focused on issues such as education, healthcare, and gun control. However, his political career faced a major setback when he announced his resignation in 2004, citing an extramarital affair with a man. Since then, McGreevey has focused on advocacy and became an Episcopal priest in 2007.
